n8n has native nodes for Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, and Zoho Analytics — not a generic HTTP request node. Triggers from Zoho CRM events (deal stage change, contact create, lead assign) are stable and well-documented.
Self-hosted n8n means Zoho data never passes through a third-party SaaS server. For clients with GDPR, POPI (South Africa), or PIPEDA (Canada) obligations, we run n8n inside your own infrastructure — no data sovereignty compromise.
Make.com is our second choice where n8n's self-hosting adds unnecessary complexity for simpler workflows. Make.com's Zoho CRM module covers all standard CRM objects and is faster to configure for straightforward automation chains.
Zoho Flow handles native Zoho-to-Zoho connections well. We use Zoho Flow where it fits and n8n or Make.com where Zoho Flow's task limits or connector gaps make it the wrong tool for the job.
Every automation we build includes: a data flow diagram (for compliance documentation), error handling and alerting (so failures surface immediately), and a handover guide so your team can modify workflows without re-engaging us.
